There are a number of shops you have to check out when shopping in Seoul, whether it’s for buying things or for the experiences you get from visiting these stores, chuu Supermarket is one of them.
As its name suggests, the whole chuu store is themed like a supermarket. But instead of getting groceries from there, you can shop chuu’s products from clothing & accessories to their make up line, Beige chuu.
Think hot pink and everything girly & sweet. I feel chuu products are more suitable for the young girls in their early to mid-twenties and who are into cute & colorful oversized t-shirts or sweaters and floral dresses. They do have some mature pieces here and there but it’s not a lot.
chuu -5kg Jeans
I’ve heard so much about the chuu -5kg Jeans, it’s supposed to be able to make you look slimmer like you’ve lost -5kg when wearing it.
One thing to note is that their size scale is definitely smaller than the sizes we usually know, especially for their skinny jeans cut. I’m generally a size 26 or 27, but I still can’t really fit in their size 28, I gave up trying at this size after that.
I was more interested in their boyfriend cut jeans, ended up getting the left pair in size M with a lighter wash because it was more fitting. I love it! I love the cut, the quality of the jeans and it’s comfortable when worn.
I always feel that it’s essential to invest in a good pair of jeans, because a pair of jeans is supposed to last you a lifetime. I paid 29,900 won for this pair, I would say that it’s pretty reasonable.
I really give it to them on their effort to do up the chuu Supermarket for the shoppers’ experience. They have a lot of these elaborated photo spots like the one above for customers to take photos at so you wouldn’t leave feeling empty handed even if you’ve not purchased anything.
The chuu Supermarket is chuu’s flagship store located at Myeongdong, they also have another outlet at Hongdae, located directly across their competitor, StyleNanda.
