Still considered to be in the Hongdae area, it is nearer to get to the Im Vely Flagship Store from the Sangsu Subway Station than the Hongik University Subway Station. You wouldn’t miss the 5 storeys building with its beautiful exterior and huge red doors attracting you to go in.
When it first opened its doors, you had to queue to get in and the queue was extremely long. I was glad that the hype has since died down when I was there.
There were so many photo taking spots whether it’s on the outside or inside of the Im Vely Flagship Store. The brick wall exterior with white windows makes me feel like I’m in New York.
Though it’s not a museum that I’m visiting but a fashion boutique, there are art installations everywhere, even at the Im Vely car park.
The person behind the Im Vely Korean fashion brand is Creative Director, Im Jihyun. You’ll often see her modelling the Im Vely apparels with her short bob hair and cheerful smile. I think Im Vely meant I’m Vely, Vely is the short form for Velyne which is also her name. She’s also a mother, can you believe it? She looks so young and well maintained even though she is a mother.
I like the style of clothes from Im Vely a lot. Their pieces are more for the mature women and more lady-like, a lot of floral flowy dresses, blouses, sweaters, denim jumpers, even formal looking pieces like power pantsuits and blazers that are more suitable for work.
I’m just really amazed at the effort they put in to design and decorate each room or corner of the Im Vely Flagship Store.
Vely Vely
From apparels, lifestyle to beauty products, Vely Vely found on the 1 floor is the Im Vely line of skincare and make up.
Roof And x Im Vely Cafe
There’s also the Roof And x Im Vely Cafe on the 4 & 5 floor if you need to take a coffee break from all that shopping. The Im Vely Cafe operated by Roof And is known for their croissants and having chocolate shavings in their drinks.
This is just the Im Vely Flagship Store, Im Vely can also be found at some Lotte, Shinsegae and Hyundai department stores. Velysome!
