I love shopping the fashion from Korea, there’s something in the Korean style, design and details that attract me so much. There are actually a lot of Korean fashion brands out there. I’m not talking about the high-end brands or street fashion brands, but something more similar and at the same level with StyleNanda.
This list consists of Korean fashion brands that are affordable and offer pieces that are more feminine and girly. Like how blogshops grew to become online stores in Singapore, a lot of these Korean fashion brands share the same path. I think many of them started with the owners being instagrammers or models themselves then coming up with their own fashion labels.
It’s a really long list of 15 Korean Fashion Brands I have collated here, all of them have an online presence, some have offline stores and some also have websites catered to international customers. Even if you can’t buy from any of these websites, I hope you get some Korean fashion inspiration while surfing. You’re welcome and happy shopping! 🙂
Im Vely
I like the style of clothes from Im Vely a lot, I’ve even checked out the Im Vely Flagship Store when I was in Seoul. Their pieces are more for the mature women and more lady-like, a lot of floral flowy dresses, denim jumpers, even formal looking pieces like power pantsuits and blazers that are more suitable for work.
You’ll often see the Creative Director of Im Vely, Im Jihyun modelling the Im Vely apparels with her short bob hair and cheerful smile. I think Im Vely meant I’m Vely, Vely is the short form for Velyne which is also her name. She’s also a mother, can you believe it? She looks so young and well maintained even though she is a mother.
Flagship Store: 43 Wausan-ro 13-gil, Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Wonlog
I fell in love with Wonlog when I first saw it on Instagram, it may well be my favorite in this list of Korean fashion brands. Their pieces are casual, clean and simple. A lot of basic tops, denim jeans, midi length pencil skirts and linen looking pieces in neutral colors that look a little French-inspired. They also have apparels for men.
I get very fashion inspired looking at Jeong Chaewon’s Instagram feed with her tall, model-like and slender physique. The Wonlog apparels always look very good on her, especially long pants.
Store: 197-11 Dong-Myung-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju
Trendy Apparel
Trendy Apparel’s style is quite similar to that of Wonlog’s, but sometimes they have sexier pieces here and there. Unlike Jeong Chaewon of Wonlog, Kim Minju, owner of Trendy Apparels doesn’t really take photos with her face in it and focuses on the apparels.
Ovneir
Ovneir only offers a handful of items on their online store. They focus on balance & harmony, and always seek to be natural and unintended for their pieces. They have apparels in neutral colors and shoes with square fronts, like loafers, mules and slingbacks. Their handmade shoes look comfortable when worn and of good quality. Also check out their bags, the designs are unique and elegant.
The CEO of Ovneir, Shin Gayoung looks very familiar. I wonder if she is an actress or something, she kind of looks a little like Min Hyorin but skinnier.
From Beginning
Outfits from From Beginning are casual, loose and comfortable, you will hardly see figure-hugging pieces. Their pieces can be worn daily and more suitable for girls who are in their early to mid-twenties. A very girl next door kind of look, just like their model.
From Bella
From Bella offers different types of clothes for different seasons just like those big Korean fashion brands. For summer, they have pieces that are resort-like and perfect for your next beach getaway. For winter, they have knitwear and outerwear of long winter coats. From casual to dressier pieces that are more feminine. I’m not sure if Hyejeong is the owner of From Bella or that she just models for them.
SlowAnd
Slow And More Think! That’s their tagline, I think they meant slow down and think more? SlowAnd‘s apparels are casual and comfortable. Their style is similar to Wonlog but more laid back.
You hardly get to see the CEO of SlowAnd, Kim Soomin’s face whom I think models for the apparels. She’s actually quite pretty but looks away from the camera or hides her face by covering it with her phone, a book or flowers most times. But you’ll still be inspired by her Instagram feed of the clothing she wears and her travels.
98°C
98°C’s apparels are fresh, cozy, lovable and very laid back, almost to a point as if they never iron the clothes or maybe because they have a lot of linen pieces of shirts and dresses. Linen apparels are hard to smoothen out the creases but good for summer because they are light & breathable and provide good airing in the heat. They also have a lot of casual loose t-shirts, jeans and shorts.
Choi Jieun, owner of 98°C is also another one who looks away from the camera or uses her hands, her phone or flowers to cover her face when taking photos while modelling the apparels.
Yuini
The casual and comfortable pieces from Yuini are sometimes girly, sometimes womanly. But that’s how clothes are supposed to be, they should serve different purposes for different occasions. From summer dresses to shirts and long pants appropriate for work, there’s something for every occasion.
I don’t know the model’s name and I’m assuming she’s also the owner of Yuini. She’s pretty sweet and adorable with that cute smile of hers and she looks quite tall with those pair of long legs.
Feeling s’
At this point, you’ll realize that many of these Korean fashion brands offer similar style of clothes. I guess that’s the style of the average, typical, young Korean girl. Feeling s’ doesn’t have a face to the brand. Just like many others, they have a lot of casual t-shirts, denim jeans & shorts and linen pieces.
Daily Monday
I accidentally came cross Daily Monday on the way to a cafe in Hongdae for my last Seoul trip. I did briefly shop at the Daily Monday Flagship Store, they have quite a number of nice pieces. When I came back and researched more about it online, I found that their flagship store is now permanently closed. 🙁 Don’t know why.
It’s one thing to own fashion pieces, it’s another thing to style them. What I like about Daily Monday is that on every Monday, they will curate these daily outfit looks for the following week, matching different apparels to different accessories. You’ll definitely be inspired by their #OOTD suggestions.
Flagship Store: 408-10 Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea (CLOSED)
Common Unique
Common Unique stands for Common clothes & Unique mood. Their Instagram feed is carefully and well curated. Check out the lookbooks they have created, A for effort, it’s comparable to StyleNanda’s. Common Unique has pieces that are more colourful, dressier and sexier.
You can also follow their alternate @Common_Unique_Daily Instagram account where they share more on the happenings of the brand like sales, pop-ups or their Common Unique apparels being spotted on Korean celebrities like IU, Jennie of BlackPink and Hwasa of Mamamoo.
From RaRa
Pieces from From RaRa look lady-like, polish and poise, they are more suitable for the mature women who are in their early thirties or older. Just by matching their apparels with a simple leather handbag and a pair of sandal heels, the whole outfit becomes very stylish, classy and elegant.
Elin
Also more suitable for the mature women, Elin has pieces that bring out the girl in a woman, like tops and dresses with babydoll puffy shoulder short sleeves, a style seen on Song Hyekyo or pieces that accentuate a woman’s curves like their mermaid or midi-length skirts and dresses.
Store: 993-1 Sang-dong, Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea
Miamasvin
And lastly, they may not have as much following as the rest of the Korean fashion brands in this list but l like Miamasvin’s unique dresses that I’ve not really seen anywhere else. It’s in the details, their designs are more edgy, vibrant and colourful. I think Miyu is the owner of Miamasvin but I’m not sure.
If you know of any other lesser known Korean fashion brands, feel free to share them in the Comments section below. 🙂
Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was
wondering which blog platform are you using for this
site? I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because
I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform.
I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
Hey,
