Last month, I did a review blogpost on some Huxley products: Huxley Grab Water Essence, Huxley Glow Awakening Cream, Huxley Spa Routine Trio & Huxley Velvet Touch Hand Cream. When Huxley contacted me asking if I was interested to try and review the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST & COVER Cushions, yes, of course!

The key skincare ingredient that can be found in all Huxley products is the Prickly Pear Seed Oil. Berber women in the Sahara Desert use this oil as their own thousand-year-refined secret to staying beautiful despite a life lived in a rough and barren desert environment. It is the beauty secret of the Moroccan royal family in the face of a harsh and inhospitable desert.

As mentioned in my blogpost previously, all of the Huxley products have a calming, relaxing and healing signature scent inspired from exotic Moroccan gardens full of greenery that contrasts the harsh desert, in which I have grown to love.

For this blogpost, I will focus on the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST & COVER Cushions. According to Huxley, your Attitude is the confidence you express yourself. The Huxley Own Attitude MOIST & COVER Cushions let you express and Own your Attitude by highlighting your natural beauty and covering those slight imperfections.

The Huxley Own Attitude MOIST & COVER Cushions are hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested with key ingredients such as the Prickly Pear Seed Oil, Cactus Extract, Desert Date Oil and Hyalurosmooth. They are actually both very similar and slightly different for different purposes.

The Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion launched last May, is a lightweight, hydrating cushion compact with buildable sheer to moderate coverage that achieves a flawless and natural satin finish. The key feature of the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion in a pastel pink case is its long-lasting moisture.

The Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion is moisturising, my skin doesn’t feel tight at all even after wearing it for an entire day. It is really lightweight, very suitable to be used for the hot weather in Singapore. But Singapore’s weather is just too humid, in order to prevent my make up from melting in this weather, I still did put on a layer of loose powder after applying the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion.

I have these veins on my eyelids and a lot of pimple scars especially on my cheeks and chin, the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion does help in covering them but the coverage isn’t the best. I still need to use a concealer to cover those spots that are not covered by the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion.

The new Huxley Own Attitude COVER Cushion is an all-day, lightweight cushion compact with high coverage that achieves a delicate, natural look and flawless satin finish. Specially designed semi-matte foundation containing sebum control powder, the key feature of the Huxley Own Attitude COVER Cushion in a nude color case is its long-lasting coverage.

Comparing to the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion, the Huxley Own Attitude COVER Cushion feels slightly heavier, but still lightweight. When I use it, I would also put on a layer of loose powder after applying the Huxley Own Attitude COVER Cushion.

The enhanced coverage of the Huxley Own Attitude COVER Cushion does a better job in covering the veins on my eyelids and pimple scars. But it still doesn’t completely cover my pimple scars especially those on my chin but I find myself using lesser of an additional concealer after applying the Huxley Own Attitude COVER Cushion.

There is this glow my skin will have that I like, when I use either the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion or Huxley Own Attitude COVER Cushion. Using the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST & COVER Cushions enhance the skin’s natural vitality and make it look healthy.

In summary, if you are looking for a cushion that is lightweight and moisturising, use the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST Cushion. If you have pimple scars like me and need more effort covering them, use the Huxley Own Attitude COVER Cushion that has a better coverage.

While many full coverage matte foundations strip out moisture and dehydrate the skin, the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST & COVER Cushions are specially formulated with Prickly Pear Seed Oil to help skin retain moisture and still achieve coverage with a satin finish.

It makes a difference when you use make up products with skincare properties compared to just normal make up products. I’m guessing that due to the Huxley Own Attitude MOIST & COVER Cushions containing nourishing Prickly Pear Seed Oil, my skin feels soft and smooth even after I remove the make up.
