I’ve started my new job and I’m predicting work to get busier with the peak during the end of the year. With so much to do, I’m bound to overlook taking care of myself and slack off on my skincare routine. Recently, I came across this skincare brand from and made in Taiwan, EFFEC Skincare. They started business and have been around in Singapore since 2017.

EFFEC Skincare’s philosophy is to provide women with a simple, natural, efficient and anti-aging skincare routine. Its skincare products are designed with a gentle formula, low stimulation, provide perfect circulation of skin recovery and maintenance that is most suitable for women living in places with tropical climate, like that of Singapore. They place emphasis on anti-aging needs for the modern Asian women by laying the best skincare foundation to counter aging.
They have kindly sent across four of the EFFEC Skincare products for me to review. Scroll down to read more about them and make sure you read everything, because I have two good things to share right at the end.
EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Protein Facial Cleanser

A facial cleanser is one product that we use at least twice a day in our skincare routine. It is important to find one that is suitable for your skin and fit for daily use. The EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Protein Facial Cleanser (one of the products in the Lamellar skincare series under EFFEC) is a gentle skin cleanser, containing 18 different types of amino acid with a mild acidity close to skin’s pH level and silk protein capable of absorbing water molecules up to 50 times of its weight, giving you a fully moisturized and refreshing skin. It is suitable for all skin types, acne-prone skin, skin with clogged or thick pores, excessively oily skin, especially suitable for sensitive skin and post-surgery skin for its restoration effect.
The Lamellar skincare series is a line of products created for professional treatment and care, its major compositions are abstracted from plant essentials and developed by biochemical technology and utilizes the richest nutriments from nature to take care of your skin and prevents them from the occurrence of deterioration.
The EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Protein Facial Cleanser is a transparent liquid with a scent that is hard for me to describe. One pump of the EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Protein Facial Cleanser is enough for each use and can create a substantial amount of fine bubble foam to wash your face after mixing and rubbing it with water.
My skin feels really clean and refresh after using the EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Protein Facial Cleanser to wash my face. It is really a mild facial cleanser. Most importantly, it is not astringent, my skin doesn’t feel too dry or tight which means the pH level is just right for my skin, I feel my skin is moisturized, supple and more elastic.
One more thing to point out, though I’m not going through a facial surgery to know that the EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Protein Facial Cleanser is good for post-surgery use but my skin is always red and a little inflamed after my monthly facials, so I tried using it a few times after my facial last month. I feel it works well in calming and soothing my skin and I think it also helped a little in the repairing and healing.

Facial masks are quick and easy-to-use products you can add to your skincare routine in your daily busy schedule. Different facial masks have different functionalities and purposes, but they all provide a boost to your skin in the area of need. 1) EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Facial Mask

After cleansing, I find that UV protection is also a very important thing in your skincare routine. For me, it is a must to have some form of sun protection for the skin. The EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Facial Mask is suitable for all skin types, for excessively oily skin, especially for acne-prone or sensitive skin and people who have dark spots and thick pores.
The EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Facial Mask contains Hydrolyzed Silk Protein, a variety of plant extracts and moisture-preserving factor, repairing dull skin, keeping lustre and moisture. It helps defend skin against UV stress by limiting cellular photo-aging, prevents the reduction of melanin to help lighten dark skin, freckles and get rid of spots. After applying the EFFEC Hydrolyzed Silk Facial Mask on a cleansed face for 20 to 30 minutes, it has to be rinsed off thoroughly with fresh water and pat dry. The mask has a slight unique scent of Silk Protein and it is soaked with a transparent liquid. I like to use this before I put on my makeup in the morning, so that I get extra UV protection for the day when I go out. I feel that it does moisturize and brighten up the skin after use but it has this very slight sticky component and I’m guessing perhaps it’s like the sticky texture of some sunscreens but in a very very light way.

2) EFFEC Polypeptide Facial Mask

I feel that my skin is moisturized and smoothened after use and it is pretty effective in lifting and tightening the skin.

The addition of Prezatide Copper Acetate that originally exists in our body along with collagen in the EFFEC Prezatide Copper Acetate Facial Mask keeps skin elastic, smooth and delays signs of aging while restoring the ability of the skin to heal and repair dull skin and increase oxygen supply to the skin. Hyaluronic acid and multiple types of ingredients help your skin counter dehydration, retain moisture, keeping skin fresh, constantly smooth, soft, supple and moisturized. I also tried to use this after my monthly facial because my skin tends to be inflamed and red every time after facial and it does a good job in improving inflammation and reducing redness.

Tencel Invisible Mask
I am using the EFFEC Prezatide Copper Acetate Facial Mask here.
Unlike the general cotton mask, EFFEC Skincare facial masks are Tencel Invisible Masks. They are natural, light, soft, thin (almost invisible) and breathable. I feel it takes a little effort to apply EFFEC Skincare facial masks on the face because they are thin and they keep sticking together. But once it is on the face and after you smoothen out the air bubbles, it sticks and fits comfortably on the face like a glove. With high capacity essence in every pack, the full essence gets easily absorbed making skin moisturized.
