Dream Cruises:
Genting Dream 4D3N
Singapore to Phuket
(Accommodation)

For me, going on a cruise has never been something that comes first to mind when I want to travel. I’ve been on Star Cruises and Royal Caribbean but not on Dream Cruises so when the opportunity came to go on a 4D3N Singapore to Phuket on-board the Genting Dream and I don’t even have to pay for the accommodation, just the port tax, of course I would go.

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Exterior

Comparing to other cruise lines, the Genting Dream by Dream Cruises is relatively new, coming into the market end of last year to set sail in Singapore waters and I heard they would only be here for a period of time. In terms of size, the Genting Dream ship is bigger than Star Cruises and the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas.

I took a lot of photos on-board the Genting Dream ship, so many that I have to split them into 3 blogposts (Accommodation, F&B and Activities) because putting them altogether will be too long for one blogpost.

Interior Stateroom

On the Genting Dream, Staterooms are on Deck 5, 8 to 13. My sister, her husband & I stayed in the Interior Stateroom on Deck 11. If you ask me to describe the room with one word: small! So small that I feel a little claustrophobia in it. No windows so you can’t tell day or night outside and if you switch off all the lights in the Interior Stateroom, it is pitch black.

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Interior Stateroom Bed

Yes, the bed setting doesn’t look that appealing. Our Interior Stateroom wasn’t ready when we went to check it out for the first time. Since there was three instead of two people staying in the Interior Stateroom, we told the roomkeeper to leave the bed setting configuration as it is.

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Interior Stateroom Bathroom
The bathroom with shower was also small.

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Interior Stateroom Bathroom Toiletries

Clean towels and toiletries provided.

Bedroom slippers were also provided. Our roomkeeper always took the initiative to ask us if we need anything or need to stock up on anything daily.

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Interior Stateroom Mirror

On the right of the Interior Stateroom is a mirror and table with bottles of drinking water that can be restocked every day.

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Interior Stateroom Coffee & Tea
They also have coffee & tea making facilities in the Interior Stateroom.

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Interior Stateroom TV

In the middle of the Interior Stateroom is the TV with movies on demand. I watched different parts of the movie ‘Thor: The Dark World’ over a consecutive of 3 days.

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Interior Stateroom Electronic Safe & Fridge
And an electronic safe and a small fridge can be found on the left corner.
