Chop50s Hair Salon – Korean Soft Perm - After Hair Right

Chop50s Hair Salon: Korean Soft Perm

It’s been six months since I last visited Chop50s Hair Salon. I know right, it’s been so long. I usually won’t go and find my hair stylist, Elly, until my hair is like really long and I can’t take the untidiness anymore.

My old hair is quite untidy and messy right?

I’ve written many blogposts on the Chop50s Hair Salon before, but they were all on the CaraMabes website that no longer exists now. This is my first Chop50s Hair Salon blogpost on Juneunicorn.com. This time I decided to do a video to show you how Elly does the Korean Soft Perm that I love oh, so much! And watch how skilled, fast and efficient she is when she cuts my hair.

For this round of hair makeover at Chop50s Hair Salon, Elly snipped, Korean Soft Permed, coloured hair near my roots, washed, did steam treatment, blow dry and a final snipped to my hair.

If you have been following or know me, you’ll know that I love bangs and cutting them. They just give my face a better shape visually. If only I could maintain it for a longer period of time, bangs usually grow so quickly and I’ll have long fringe again in less than a month.

How do I look with the new hair? Good, isn’t it? My hair is always healthier and bouncy like this after Elly uses her magic hands to work on them at Chop50s Hair Salon. I’m happy!

I recently came across this @Hanung_d Instagram account, I think they’re a hair salon in Korea. I love their feed with lots of Korean hairstyle inspiration, just look at the endless Korean girls with their natural-looking, long, curly and wavy hair. The @Hanung_d Instagram account also shares a lot of other hair tips like how to curl, braid or blow dry your hair.

One thing that interested me is, I always wondered how the Korean girls achieve this natural curl for the bangs and the side of the fringe, the hair that is between the side of the face and the ears. Then I learnt from here that, you just have to cut your hair using a penknife blade. Elly actually also tried this on me if you watch the video I did above carefully. It really works! I think it’s the same as when you curl a long and thin strip of paper into a ribbon using the blade of a pair of scissors.

Wanna get a new hairdo? If you would like to try Chop50s Hair Salon, remember to call and make an appointment before going down alright? I heard Elly isn’t always there every day at Chop50s Hair Salon these days.
