Cheese In The Trap Korean Drama

Cheese In The Trap

Omg, I cannot sleep! I’ve been having insomnia the last couple of nights, weeks actually. I just finished watching the Cheese In The Trap movie and since I’m still awake, I thought I will write what I think about it.

Movie Trailer

Did you know that there is a Cheese In The Trap Korean drama version before the movie? Cheese In The Trap is originally a webtoon which was later made into a Korean drama and then into a movie.

What is weird is that both the Korean drama and movie versions starred Park Hae Jin as Yoo Jung while all the other cast were changed except for one small antagonist. Why would you produce a Korean drama version and later go on to produce another movie version? Not that I am complaining as you get to see more of Park Hae Jin but his acting doesn’t change much for both versions of Cheese In The Trap. He still portrays the same strange personality vibes, a nice Sunbae on the outside with hidden secrets.

Korean Drama Trailer

For the female lead, Kim Go-Eun starred in the Korean drama version and Oh Yeon-seo starred in the movie version as Hong Seol in Cheese In The Trap. I prefer Kim Go-Eun as Hong Seol as she is able to portray a young, lively, a little blur and flustered girl struggling with her school and relationships but Oh Yeon-seo seems much older, relaxed and it’s like you can see she is just acting. I don’t really like how Oh Yeon-seo acts, she freezes up a lot on screen, even in Korean Odyssey.

As for the supporting roles, Park Ki-woong in the Cheese In The Trap movie looks more man but Seo Kang-Joon in the Korean drama version seems better in the fighting scenes acting as Baek In-Ho. And I definitely like Lee Sung-Kyung in the Korean drama more than Yoo In-young in the movie as Baek In-Ha because you can’t beat Lee Sung-Kyung on her craziness.

The Cheese In The Trap movie ends kind of abruptly also. All in all, you would have guessed by now after what I have written that I like and prefer the Korean drama version of Cheese In The Trap better, even the OST for the Korean drama version is better. It’s one of my favourite Korean drama OSTs! What about you? Which do you think is better?
