Butterfly Pea Flower Tea

Dream Cruises Genting Dream Singapore to Phuket Jungceylon

When I went on the 4D3N Genting Dream by Dream Cruises from Singapore to Phuket, we did get off the ship and spend an evening in Patong, Phuket. We ended up shopping at the Big C Extra Supermarket in Jungceylon Shopping Mall. I bought some snacks, some Lay’s Potato Chips and got the Butterfly Pea Flower Tea from Spice Story that I don’t really see sold in Singapore.

Butterfly Pea Flower Tea is a caffeine-free herbal tea. It might be better known for its color-changing properties, but its health benefits are just as good. When steeped, the Butterfly Pea Flowers release antioxidants much like green tea, it can help your body lower the risk of infections and it is great for heart health.

The Butterfly Pea Flower Tea can be enjoyed hot or cold. I want to share my recipe for the preparation of the cold Butterfly Pea Flower Tea. The Butterfly Pea Flower Tea is alkaline and has a cooling effect, it is a very refreshing drink and perfect for the hot summer.
